MY Golden Odyssey, a $360 million dollar bote. She's 405ft in length with a beam of 62ft and can carry 36 guests and 70 crew.
The bote has 450,000 liter fuel tanks and at a cruise speed of 12kts, a range of 7250nm, and a top speed of 21kts.
The initial owner of the yacht was Saudi Prince Khaled bin Sultan al Saud. However, reports suggest that the Prince never boarded the yacht after facing financial difficulties around the time of her delivery. In the Paradise Papers, leaked documents revealed offshore investments, and it was disclosed that the Prince owned the yacht through a Bermudan offshore company named Actaeon Shipping Ltd. Unfortunately, due to defaulting on a loan that used the yacht as collateral, the Golden Odyssey was seized and auctioned in Malta.
Following these events, the yacht was acquired by a new owner, a Chinese billionaire, reputed for his discerning taste in yacht design and construction. This new owner is reported to be currently in the process of building another large yacht at Lurssen, showing his affinity for their unmatched craftsmanship.
This bote is huge! Take a look at how much of the boat is occupied by the pool area and then, go to the next image.
The pool area which in itself is huge but this comparison gives you a better idea as to just how large she is.
This is Project 1011, the latest flagship from the Netherlands ship building company, Feadship. (The same company who built both of Zuckerberg's botes.)
The owner intentionally designed the bote to have as much "Beach Club," (the stern area for swimming, diving, sunbathing, etc.) On project 1011, this area takes up a full one quarter of the main deck length. The area is huge by comparison to even the largest botes currently in operation.
Here you have Motor Yacht Wingman, Zuckerberg's new "support vessel" (a relatively new concept in yachting,) for his also brand new superyacht, MY Launchpad.
Wingman is 246' feet long, 41' beam, and displaces 2200GT.
MY "Launchpad," Mark Zuckerberg's 2024 Feadship build for a mere $300 mil. (smile)
She is 387' long with a beam of 51' and gross tonnage of 5500.
This is M/Y Koru, the largest sailing yacht in the world (417ft/3500GT,) and it is Jeff Bezos' new boat. But, he has SO many toys that he also had a support ship...
.built to carry them behind Koru. :-) This is M/Y Abeona.
MY Shackleton, a 107m (351ft) Lürssen expedition yacht that has been spotted doing sea trials. That means owner delivery isn't far off. It's quite an unusual design, especially for Lurssen but I like it a lot.
This is Motor Yacht "A" owned by Russian billionaire, Andrei Melnichenko. She is a 94m vessel built by Blohm + Voss. Personally, I love the design but many apparently do not. Mr. M. ALSO owns...
..Sailing Yacht "A." This is a monstrous vessel at 142 meters and also has diesel propulsion giving her a top speed of 21kts which is VERY fast for a ship this large.
