17JUN24 - I think I have exhausted all the Apollo Program audiobooks so I'm now moving to the Space Shuttle era and this is a photo of John Young and Bob Crippen, both Shuttle commanders.
Fredo Haise and Gordon Fullerton.
Good shot of a Shuttle launch.
SpaceX's first orbital Starship launch. Sadly, they lost some engines in the booster and the vehicle never made it to orbit and had to be destroyed.
Grabbed this from the Web too, a drone shot of Starship, i.e., Ship 24 and Booster 7, getting very near the first orbital launch.
Finally, it's been twenty years since the launch of Columbia and this is STS-107, her final launch.
15SEP22 - This and the following shots are of "lifting bodies" that were used in designing the Space Shuttle.
Joe Engle and Fredo Haise flew the lifting bodies and the initial Shuttle entry tests.
29AUG22 - SLS-1, "Artemis," is set for launch this morning. At 0630 local we're on a forty-minute hold.
