Most folks know about the Blackbird but few know about the Valkyrie. There were only two and one was lost during a photo flight when it had a midair collision with a fighter flying in formation.</p>

<p>Just look at this thing..it's nearly two hundred feet long. Can you imagine being at 75,000 feet going mach 3.2?! IN 1966!!! Whoa. Unfortunately, only one of the two crew got out of the XB70 and the pilot of the fighter was killed instantly. :-(</p>
